Where Suns Come To Die (2015)

1.
And there is no comfort on this bitter Earth No spiritual redemption No undiscovered source of goodwill or moral For the world is hollow and the sky is empty The gods of my youth are gone The virtues The hopes all gone And I hung the mask of gods upon my purity as I festered in loathing And as snake-smudge blurred the distance of ghosts the dying dawn thirsted for sun And I stood there trembling with old filthy hands gazing into the abyss O how it pushed me deeper Downwards Onwards Crushing the bitter riddle of life Now, crawling like a lizard into the truth of others the mask of gods descend from the purest concept of a refuge to the utter shit-stained mud I wander through every waking hour of my existence And there is no comfort And this bitter Earth

Within my flesh walls there is an aching A faceless demon mocking me I am a weak structure A feeble receiver of visions They have all dispersed into the void And though nothing remains of my pride And dusk has claimed my judgement I shiver in moonlight and greet the death of everything I yield to the sun however bleak and dying The rigid body of stars collapsing into my embrace I surrender to the soil … And life flicker out from the eyes of the sky and two hundred million clouds sing with old broken voices Songs from the dawn of creation I see the icy hand of Death shivering with grace Touched by beauty and moving calmly towards me I surrender to the soil …

Hymn 04:50
I see the clouds rejoice in the coming of hail I see the sun rising tired and pale I see a grand horizon beyond the sorrow-vast sea I see madness in the sky I see horses running free I hear a sigh from the hill I hear the meadows weep I hear the echo of birdsong whilst the forest is asleep And I see you in the rain smiling like on the first day of spring I see a sky growing darker Your beauty rests in everything Don’t let this moment pass …

I am a ghost A shadow of my pride An echo of my hatred Dust in the grinding wheels of time Fog in the eyes of bliss Nothing in the faces of eternity And I greet this apathy in a sleepless house where suns come to die and space unfolds restlessly And did I fall then I fell forever Through a world departed and a civilization divided Through the clouds hanging over my head Heavy as lead and black as tar Pissing blood in my face and laughing like and old man Through the grey hollow sphere that makes the veil of this empty world And bitterness shall touch me and lay its famished hands upon me Craving the last dark moments of my waking hours And shame shall embrace me in a tender caress I saw it dance towards me when I took my first step through the dust of time’s grinding wheels And here I stand crippled for another second for another minute for another hour for another day for another week for another month for another year for another goddamn infinity of longing for a peace of mind that never comes
